Graphic Illustrations of some Laibach Designs ... a note by Kerstin Laibach.

Jewellery photos seen throughout the Laibach website are photos of my real pieces. However, my design illustrations (indicated with a "*" by the description) seen on some "inscribed" jewellery pages - including the Veg*n Inscribed mini-site - are either hand-drawn or computer-drawn illustrations.
Illustrations created using graphic design programs in particular, give an augmented or unnatural impression; unfeasibly perfect and clinical, which does not accurately reflect the real world crafting of jewellery made entirely by hand. Subsequently, the actual finished piece will have a more organic (natural) appearance. This mainly refers to the lines of hand-embossed inscription lettering and occasionally the position or quantity of design related shapes, which, when physically made are added or adjusted as I craft for visual balancing.
Because I entirely hand-make my pieces, (including numbered collection designs) I work harmoniously with the natural anomalies and inflections which hand crafting always adds to any piece, and thus gives it its own unique character or "luminance". I do not use computer jewellery design software and subsequently do not have jewellery made using the 3d modelling output from such software (computer controlled casting, lasering and cutting etc.)
