Laibach chains are original and made to last.
Besides the ethical approach of Laibach pieces, the extra you pay for a genuine handmade chain against a factory-made counterpart should prove fully justifiable over years of satisfied and hopefully trouble-free wear***.

Chain Lengths

An average person's neck chain length is between 41cm and 45cm.
The following prices are based on standard Sterling silver chains up to 45 cm with the chain wire thickness of 0.7mm.
Please inform us of the chain length you require when you order. If you are not sure and you have not stated a length, but you are of an average neck size, we will automatically supply a longer version of the chain at 45cm, which can always be shortened if necessary.

Price increases for chains over 45cm.

NOTE: If you purchase a Laibach chain at the standard selling length of 45cm, but after receiving it you then realise you would like it to be shortened, Laibach will adjust it free of charge if returned within 28 days of purchase. You will only be charged for delivery.

Your choice of recycled precious metals.
Extra chain length over 45cm.
Link size.
Detail required on its closing mechanism.

SAFTEY AND CHAINS WORN BY CHILDREN
If you are ordering a chain for a child please make sure you state this in your ordering message.
Children's chains (and bracelets), to be worn on ceremonial occasions, are specially made with safety features. However, before putting any jewellery on a child please read our important child safety information.

** For a chain to be genuinely handmade it must be 100% forged by the goldsmith - link by link - including its closing mechanism. Many jewellers claim "handmade" when they are actually using factory chains, embellished with pre-made ornamentation and then "hand-finished".

FURTHER INFORMATION: Kerstin Laibach makes all components for her pieces by hand, including chains and closing mechanisms. However, many jewellery makers use "findings" when making their pieces. Findings are factory-made chains, clasps and earring clips and even ring "blanks", (often originating from the Far East). The quality of commercially produced findings can be substandard and prone to break in a very short time. Findings can often be made from newly-mined precious metals and, with no dependable traceability process, the best solution for the environmentally aware is to only buy from ethical jewellery makers who craft 100% of their pieces ... and only use recycled precious metals.
