IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS IF YOU HAVE REQUESTED A COST ESTIMATE

A cost estimate is based on the current precious metal price at the time you have requested the estimate. In terms of handcrafting, the final cost of your finished piece may be more or less than the cost estimate. This is due to some pieces, with more intricate handcrafting, being difficult to determine the exact amount of precious metals used. In such cases, if the end cost is higher it may be as much as 10% with gold and palladium and up to 15% with platinum … but no higher. Silver cost estimates are currently fixed prices. Regarding precious metal costs, these can fluctuate from one day to the next. A cost estimate is based on the precious metal price of the day and usually serves a good indicator of the end price for a few days or so. When you decide to go ahead with commissioning your Laibach piece, and there has been a long period since you were provided an initial cost estimate, you will be sent a revised cost estimate. As soon as you have placed your deposit you will also be securing the price of the precious metal(s) at the date of your deposit. Your final cost will be based on the precious metal value on the day of deposit, but as mentioned, the handcrafting aspect may add or reduce this cost slightly, depending on the weight of your end piece (the amount of precious metal used). Therefore, even if your end piece is a gram or two heavier, you may be paying more for the end cost but you are gaining more precious metal (value) in your piece.

Terms and Conditions Relating to Usage of Laibach Jewellery or jewellery repaired or redesigned by Atelier Kerstin Laibach

In no event will we be liable for any loss, damage, injury or death whatsoever, including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss, damage, injury or death arising from the ownership, usage, handling or wearing of any jewellery piece sold, repaired, redisigned or worked on in any way by us.

IMPORTANT: If you wear a pacemaker, always check any jewellery yourself for magnetism which may affect the functioning of your pacemaker.
Although we check, and will note in a piece description, any noticable magnetism which may cause problems with pacemakers, in no event will we be liable for any loss, damage, injury or death whatsoever, including without limitation, indirect or consequential loss, damage, injury or death arising from the ownership, usage, handling or wearing of any jewellery piece sold, repaired, redesigned or worked on in any way by Atelier Kerstin Laibach which may contain magnetism.

CHAIN LINK FAILURE WITHIN 5 YEARS OF PURCHASE
Should your Laibach made neck chain break from a failed link solder during the first five years. Kerstin Laibach will repair the failed link free of charge. The repair service does not include postage and you are required to pay postage costs. You will need to provide proof of purchase and ownership of the chain from new. This chain repair service is a "good will service" and not an extended purchase guarantee and is limited to the trading period of Kerstin Laibach Ethical Jewellery. If Kerstin Laibach Ethical Jewellery ceases to trade within the five year period of your chain purchase Kerstin Laibach will not be liable to repair work or subsequent costs.
Conditions:
The Laibach chain link failure goodwill service only applies to a Laibach neck chain worn under normal daily conditions and not subjected to excess stress and strain beyond its normal breaking stress point.
To qualify for repair the chain must have failed at a solder point ... not at a continual section of the link. (Breakage of chains not on solder point indicates heavy wear or excess strain on the chain)
Chain links will not be repaired if:
A chain link is broken through excess wear or excess strain
The chain has been altered or repaired by another repairer.

CHAINS FOR CHILDREN
Atelier Laibach can hand-make on request chain necklaces which may be suitable for children over the age of two. The chain has two unsoldered links so it can more easily break away from the child's neck in the event of catching on protruding objects etc. However, an easy-release chain should only be considered a basic precautionary measure to help protect your child from injury. We would still advise parents and guardians to only allow children over the age of two to wear any such items under supervision and only for special occasions.

For more on our important guidelines on child safety and children wearing jewellery please see here.

ONE YEAR GUARANTEE ON KUEM-BOO PIECES AND RE-GILDING SERVICE

Note: Scratches and other wear and tear marks on the Kuem Boo areas or any other part of the jewellery will not be accepted for free servicing under any Laibach guarantee period.
