PRINCIPLES » HOW WE HELP
Atelier
Laibach's Commitment to Wildlife and the Environment
Atelier Laibach not
only strives to maintain a carbon and environmentally neutral
footprint but also helps to repair the damage caused by misuse
of the planet's resources.
You may have already read our principles which describe how every
aspect of Laibach jewellery follows a genuine path to eliminating
all environmentally damaging processes ... and is also cruelty-free.
In addition, we spend a considerable amount of time researching
the surrounding regions from where we gather the small handful
of surface stones each year, which are set into some of our collections.
Where there are organisations in the regions that actively help
to conserve and restore the environment and protect wildlife,
we select the most appropriate groups and award them a donation
of 15% of the profits from each piece sold. With Laibach pieces
which do not contain stones, 15% of profits are still evenly distributed
to relevant organisations. These donations are often awarded on
an annual basis but occasionally within shorter periods.
On occasions, we may
run donation promotions to help an individual organisation. These
organisations can sometimes be animal rescue / welfare organisations.
With pieces that include surface-gathered stones sold through
such promotions, the 15% of sales profit is split between the
participating organisation of which we are promoting and our usual
selected organisations, but only those pieces which are sold via
the related promotion code. Otherwise, all sales donations are
awarded to our chosen organisations.
Please note that we never knowingly associate our business, our
promotions or ourselves with any animal rights groups (or anyone
connected to them) who condone the use of violence and unlawful
behaviour to forward their cause. We only support law-abiding
/ well-initiated environmental and animal protection organisations
with a proven track record for balanced, peaceful, nonviolent
activity.
In our day to day work
activities, the two main areas relevant to Atelier Laibach's local
gathering of surface stones are the
southwest
area of Germany
and the south
/ southwest region of England.
Please choose either of these two area links to find out more.

SELF GATHERED CONTRIBUTIONS
For customers who provide their own surface-gathered stones from
other parts of the world for Kerstin Laibach to make a piece for
them, we look into good-cause projects in the gathering area which
would be most appropriate for receiving a 15% of profit donation.
In some instances (such as customer gathered stones from impoverished
countries) we award donations to humanitarian aid programs serving
local community needs, which also improve local ecology and promote
sustainable living. These may include projects such as environmentally
responsible water channelling, renewable energy installation and
education on environmentally and socially responsible productivity
... including birth control.
If you would like
us to make a piece from a stone you have gathered yourself please

TRAVEL / DELIVERY Co2
OFFSET - CONTRIBUTIONS
If Atelier Laibach takes any business trip which unavoidably generates
transport carbon emissions we offset this by contributing to carbon
offset projects.
We also include an optional Co2 offset contribution through which
customers can choose to donate 50 cents (Euro) on to our delivery
charge. We match this donation with an extra 50 cents - subsequently
adding one Euro to our carbon offset fund which is awarded to
tree planting projects designed to help counteract global warming.
