Laibach Delivery and Shipping Information (Part of Terms and Conditions)
Where We Ship To:
Laibach atelier mainly dispatches to the UK, all EU countries,
USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. However, if you live outside
these areas it may be possible that we can deliver to your country.
If there is a problem we will inform you after you have filled
in your preliminary order enquiry.
Delivery Cost:
Delivery costs vary depending on country of destination. Your
delivery cost will be calculated when your
intial order enquiry
is received.
While still using the safest delivery method, we always aim to
ensure the best delivery value for you while also looking for
the greenest delivery option to the destination country if it
is available.
Carbon Offsetting
your Delivery:
When you fill in your order form you are invited to contribute
an optional 50 cents to our carbon offset fund. Laibach atelier
doubles your donation by adding a futher 50 cents ourselves. When
enough of these donations are collected the fund money is awarded
to carbon offsetting tree planting projects.
Delivery Conditions:
Your piece will be dispatched on receipt of full payment. Shipping
Charges are calculated depending on destination. We only ever
send items with delivery insurance cover. This cost is relative
to the item value and included in the final shipping cost.
Laibach pieces are sold and
delivered to countries outside the EU on a "Delivery Duty Unpaid"
basis. Therefore additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according
to your own country's import legislation. Recipients of deliveries
made outside the European Union may have to pay import duty or
formal customs entry. If so, your delivery may be delayed. If
a "delivery duty unpaid" is applicable to the delivery of your
item, Atelier Laibach is not responsible for such delays or fees
and cannot offer any assistance in these processes.
Items usually from Laibach atelier in Germany but sometimes from
the UK with restricted delivery conditions. (See below.)
Please
read the following information on delivery outside the EU ...
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON TAX
AND DELIVERY TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU:
You are usually required to pay import tax / duty when purchasing
goods - in this case jewellery, from outside your own country.
Import tax can generally add up to be an equivalent of your country's
tax requirement on goods, and can for example include "customs
duty", "excise duty" and "import VAT" ... or whichever types of
tax your country imposes. Therefore, when your Laibach piece is
delivered to you, the delivery person will probably ask you to
pay an import tax on your item or you will be sent an invoice
to pay from customs. For example, if your Laibach item is 200
Euro and your own country's tax on goods is 5% then you will pay
the delivery person an additional 10 Euro to cover your country's
import tax. Please get in touch with your country's customs office
to find out how much import duty you may have to pay when receiving
you Laibach piece. It may be up to 20% of the value of you piece
... it may be much less. Laibach atelier has no control over what
you may have to pay.
Although this may be considered an inconvenience, our first priority
is to provide you with the quickest and most cost effective method
of delivery. Some on-line shops will automatically charge you
a third party fee to cover payment of these taxes by adding it
to their delivery charge. This enables the delivery company to
recover such taxes on your behalf so you don't need to pay it
at the door or later. However, this makes your complete purchase
cost much higher than the normal "pay at the door or later"
scenario. Besides paying the tax in advance (because it is already
added to the cost of your item) you are also paying more to cover
third party fees for this taxes collection service. We feel that
you should have the choice to request such a service or not. Although
we do not recommend it, (because of the high cost you will incur),
we can include this tax collection service if you so wish in some
circumstances, and the costs will be reflected on the delivery
charge on your invoice. Our best advice is to be prepared to pay
the delivery person the required taxes when your item is delivered
(or in some cases and countries you may receive an invoice from
your customs office sometime after delivery).
DELIVERY INSURANCE:
All jewellery items delivered
are fully insured and this price is included in our shipping charges
on your final invoice. Insurance and shipping amount is dependent
on the price of your Laibach piece.
DIFFERENCES WITH DELIVERY WHEN
WE SEND FROM EITHER GERMANY OR THE UK:
We can send jewellery of
any value from Germany to most international destinations through
our specialised courier. However, if your chosen Collection
piece(s) is currently on display in the UK there are circumstances
which might slow delivery if you are not resident in the UK:
If the Collection piece you
have ordered is on display in the UK, and is valued above the
postal compensation threshold when sending from the UK to international
destinations, your piece will usually be taken back to our Atelier
in Germany and then sent on to you. This because we cannot obtain
compensation cover for items valued over 250 GBP or 500 GBP (depending
on international destination) if we send directly from the UK.
However, if this situation was to arise we will get in touch as
we may find a quick delivery solution.
Of course, if you are a UK customer and the piece you have ordered
(of any value) is currently displayed in the UK we will send your
item without problems by the appropriate UK delivery service.
NOTE: We are always
searching for the most environmentally friendly methods of delivery
without compromising on quality or security when your item is
in transit.
We are periodically
revising our delivery methods to give you the easiest way of receiving
your items. Please occassionaly refer back to this page for updated
information.
FINALLY
Whichever of the above points relates to your order we will do
our best to ensure that you are completely satisfied with our
personalised ordering process and subsequently your Laibach jewellery
purchase.
During busy periods or at times when we are exhibiting etc., there
may be a short delay in responding as quickly as we would normally
do regarding internet orders. However, we will always inform you
in the event of any delays and do our best to make sure that such
occurrences do not cause you undue inconvenience.
The
Packaging of your Piece
We only use recycled
materials in our packaging. If it looks as if the outer packaging
of your Laibach piece delivery has been previously used, it probably
has.
