HOW TO ORDER
Ordering
Pieces, Payment ... and info on our packaging
We do not offer an
on-line shopping basket system because our services often require
more direct communication with our customers to ensure complete
satisfaction. We make sure that any ready-made collection pieces
you are interested in are suitable in terms of either length (if
it has a necklace) or otherwise ring size. We also want you to
feel happy that delivery options or any other questions are clarified
properly before completing the payment transaction.
Note that our personalised payment method does not mean a slower
delivery service.
One or more of the page menu choices will relate to your specific
order request so please read carefully.

Our Packaging - Ethical Information
ORDERING COLLECTION PIECES
If you wish to purchase
an available Laibach Collection piece now, please return to the
collections pages,
browse to the piece, make a note of its name and number then click
on the "Order Now" button.
You will be taken to our order form.
Providing the Collections piece you have chosen is still available,
we will reserve it for you immediately on receipt of the order
form.
Some collection pieces are only made once, some are very short
editions of perhaps two, three or four. Others can be repeated
indefinitely.
(Please note that Laibach pieces are not a result of casting.
From start to finish a Laibach piece is individually handmade,
creating a unique natural item each time.)
If a shown collection piece appears to be no longer available
it may sometimes be possible to repeat or make something similar
and in a choice of recycled precious metals. You can enquire about
a specific piece so we can provide clearer information as to whether
it may be repeatable.
Once you have sent your order form we will quickly send you an
email of acknowledgment which will include shipping costs and
answers to questions you may have asked etc. If you are happy
with these details and you reply with a go-ahead, we will then
send you an invoice, through which you can securely pay via PayPal.
You can use most credit / debit cards or your own PayPal account.
When we receive your full payment, the piece will be shipped to
you.
Your order will be fully insured during transit.
Please remember that our ready-made Collection pieces can usually
be adjusted to suit your requirements. I.e. longer or shorter
chains on pendants and necklaces, and of course ring sizes. (An
additional charge may be applicable depending on the adjustment.
(See section below for more details.)
Please take note of our shipping
information.
SIZE ADJUSTMENTS TO
YOUR COLLECTION PIECE ORDER
If a Collection piece you have seen on the website or at an exhibition
needs to be adjusted for you - for example, a ring, bracelet or
necklace - we require a 75% deposit of the collection piece price.
Delivery of collection pieces which require size adjustment may
take up to two weeks, but we will give you a clearer estimate
of delivery time during ordering correspondence. Please
remember that shipping costs for your piece will vary depending
on your location.
Please take note of our shipping
information.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS
FOR COLLECTION PIECES
A reservation of a ready-made
collection piece, which is currently available, requires full
payment within 5 days of the date on or your order invoice. Until
payment is received the piece is considered reserved. If we have
not received payment after 5 days from the invoice date the reserved
item will be relisted and your order will automatically be canceled.
If you are ordering a made to order collection piece similar to
one which has been previously sold, then a deposit payment will
be required. Please refer to the next section below which describes
deposit payment.
ORDERING BESPOKE PIECES
OR WEDDING / PARTNERSHIP BANDS
If you would like a
Laibach piece specifically designed for you, we can discuss and
offer preliminary design ideas after you have contacted us with
your wishes. We would like to make absolutely sure that a completed
bespoke Laibach piece matches its wearer perfectly. This means
that creating a piece for you involves some pre-design discussion
to ensure that Kerstin Laibach can create something which uniquely
matches the personal qualities of its wearer. If you are having
jewellery made for someone else we highly recommend that you don't
keep it secret, but instead allow the intended wearer to discuss
with us her thoughts and wishes before we begin work. During our
chat we would like to ask some questions about the intended wearer
of the piece; Height, general build, skin tone, eye and hair colour.
Also what kind of social function the piece may often be worn,
along with the wearer's usual clothing preferences. You are welcome
to send us a photo of the intended wearer so that we have time
in advance to consider some options for you. After we have determined
some aspects of the intended wearer, Kerstin Laibach can begin
the design process and a design sketch will be mailed to you.
You are not charged in these initial design stages. Only when
you are happy with the design on "paper" will Kerstin Laibach
begin to make your piece. In some circumstances it can be possible
to arrange visits to meet in person in locations at or close to
Atelier Laibach work areas in Southern Germany / Switzerland /
France and the Southern United Kingdom. You can also visit
Laibach shows to discuss
your wishes in person.
It is at the start of the physical making process that we will
require a 50% nonrefundable quotation deposit on silver pieces
and 75% nonrefundable quotation deposit on gold pieces (75% nonrefundable
deposit if you also require lab-created gemstone options). We
will also send you an information sheet which covers more details
about our bespoke creation process. Please contact
us with your questions.
Delivery of made-to-order / bespoke pieces may take up to three
weeks (depending on waiting list) and can occasionally be longer
if the piece is complex and requires special stones. Please tell
us in advance if your piece is particularly urgent so that we
can do our best to accommodate your needs. We can discuss your
specific made-to-order wishes during ordering correspondence and
will also give you a clearer estimate of delivery time.
Please remember that shipping costs
will vary depending on your location.
Please take note of our shipping
information.
Wedding and partnership
bands are always made specifically to order and we require a deposit
between 50% to 75% (depending on precious metal) prior to beginning
work on your bands. For
our detailed Wedding and Partnership pages please see here.
If you would like Laibach
to design a piece around a stone you have gathered yourself please
first read. Locally-Gathered
- Your Options .
WAITING LIST FOR MADE
TO ORDER
There can be occasions when demand for Laibach pieces causes a
short, unavoidable delay. Please bear with us and we will always
do our best to ensure that any wait for your piece is minimized.
We will inform you of any possible delay by keeping you up to
date with progress. However, please do get in touch if you are
feeling a little anxious so we can give you an up-to-date estimation
of any waiting time for your piece. We always try and prioritize
in certain situations if, for example your piece is for a certain
occasion. We always recommend that wedding rings are ordered at
least six weeks in advance. In the Christmas period we recommend
that bespoke orders are made eight weeks in advance, or urgent
last minute orders no less than two weeks before December 24th.
Please read our shipping
information.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS
FOR BESPOKE ORDERS
You can pay for your made-to-order piece in full if you wish ...
or you can pay a nonreturnable deposit.
As mentioned above, when you request a made to order piece we
will require a nonreturnable deposit before beginning work. We
will send you a deposit invoice and await your payment. You are
given approx. 5 days from the invoice date to pay your deposit.
If deposit is not paid by the date due stated on your deposit
invoice your order will be canceled.
With deposit payment received we begin work on your piece and
once it is finished we require the final balance payment before
we ship your jewellery. To enable you to pay the final balance
we will send you a final payment invoice. (If we do not receive
the final balance payment by the due date stated on your final
payment invoice, we will normally send you a reminder invoice.)*
*
If we do not receive final payment after a grace period of 14
days from the reminder invoice, we have full rights to cancel
your order, you will lose your deposit and the jewellery will
remain the property of Laibach. To help avoid such scenarios,
we always maintain promptness and efficiency with our correspondence
and reminders to help ensure that our customers respond accordingly.
IMPORTANT
CLARIFICATION POINTS WHEN ORDERING
These clarifications below
will enable us to deal with the preparation of your piece more
efficiently and helps to ensure that you are completely satisfied
with our service:
- If your order relates to a reservation
of an item currently available, we will first email you with
the delivery cost and any other information you may require.
If you are happy with this we send you an invoice and await
your full payment. Please note: The invoice must be paid within
five working days of the invoice date. If not, your order will
be canceled and the piece will be re-listed for sale.
- Laibach Collection pieces are
often on show, either in exhibitions, galleries or hotel foyers
in Germany and other European countries. If the piece you are
ordering is being exhibited please allow a short delay while
we collect your piece and prepare it for delivery to you.
- If your order relates to any
Laibach piece from our Collections that is currently available
and which does NOT require an adjustment for you, we will send
you an invoice to enable you to pay for and receive the item
as soon as possible.
- If your order relates to a currently
available GOLD OR SILVER ring from our Collections, but which
needs to be made SMALLER for you, there is NO additional charge
for this adjustment and we will send you an invoice to enable
you to pay for your item. After payment is received we will
make the necessary ring adjustment and then send you the item.
- If your order relates to a currently
available SILVER ring from our Collections, but which needs
to be made LARGER for you, there is NO additional charge for
this adjustment and we would send you an invoice to enable you
to pay for your item. After payment is received we make the
necessary ring adjustment and then send you the item.
- If your order relates to a currently
available GOLD ring or a GOLD or SILVER necklace from our Collections,
but which needs to be made larger or longer for you, there is
usually an additional charge for this adjustment. The additional
charge for gold based adjustments is due to the material costs
of extra gold used, and in the case of adding extra length to
either silver or gold necklaces a labour charge is also applicable.
We will inform you of the extra costs and include any charge
for this adjustment on your invoice. After we receive full payment
we make the necessary ring or necklace enlargement and then
send you the item.
- If your order relates to a gold
or platinum version of a ring or necklace from our Collections,
please note that these precious metal versions are not usually
ready-made and it is likely that we would make your piece to
your order. We will send you a quotation for the finished piece.
If you accept the order we will request a 75% quotation deposit
(less postage). After we receive payment we will make your piece.
On completion of your piece we will send you an invoice for
the balance to pay (including postage). Upon final payment we
will send you your piece.
- If your order is a request for
a bespoke design, wedding/partnership bands or a design similar
to a piece in our Collections we will be in touch with you to
discuss your requirements.
OUR PACKAGING
After looking into recycled jewellery boxes and finding discrepancies,
we instead decided to hand make our own presentation packaging
so that we can more accurately measure its ethical makeup. Our
design and choice of materials resulted in an appealing natural
organic bamboo fleece pouch to hold your Laibach piece. This is
closed with natural raffia and attached is our Laibach seal (made
from locally produced vegan wax) plus our recycled card slip which
contains information on your personal piece, including details
of the benefiting organisation which will receive fifteen percent
of profits from your purchase. Our packaging is 100 percent biodegradable
and recyclable. It contains no micro-plastics either, so no damage
to the oceans and dependent life.
Note: On delivery, if the outer postage packaging of your Laibach
piece looks as if it has been used previously ... it probably
has. For
full Laibach Ethical Principles see here.
